All I can say is wow! If it wasn't for yelp I never would have found this place. I have to say that this was no doubt the best ribs I have ever eaten. The mac n cheese was excellent and the banana pudding was unbelievable. Wife had pulled pork and it was also the best we ever tasted. It's a small hole in the wall type joint but it is super clean and has a great motif. Tvs on the wall to watch sports. Good selection of fountain drinks as well for all u diet drinkers. Lol. If u want BBQ u cannot beat this place! Extra parking in the back if it's full out front

Don't just walk... RUN to this place! Holy crap, this is good 'que! I wasn't familiar with Moe's before last week, but Yelpers led me here and I learned more about the founders and the company on their website. It's great to see Bama boys having success, but even better when you can enjoy their great BBQ The food here is the real deal... This was some of the best pulled pork I've had in a long time. Simply divine. Their sides are great too, and on the day we went they had $1 PBR, so our dinner was a win all the way around The patio out front is great, as is the bar, and I now have a new favorite in PCB Kudos to Moe's PCB!

My background: I am a BBQ snob. I've eaten at bbq competitions primarily east coast all down to Texas. Food (5.0): fan-damn-tastic. PERFECTLY cooked ribs. Not "fall of the bone" mushy, over cooked crap. It was juicy, tender with a little bit of a bite. Nice smokey flavor and seasoned well. It was not slathered with bbq sauce which is what I love. I love to actually taste the meat. Chicken was juuuuuuicy and OMG their rubs are on point. So much flavor. Atmosphere (5.0): bad ass little bbq joint. It is as expected. The ppl working there all seemed to be cool. (I even high fived one) Overall (5.0): Im counting down the days I get to come back to PC and eat here.

Delicious!!! The smoked chicken and smoked turkey had so much flavor. It was finger licking good! They were out of the ribs (which is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars) since I didn't get to try it but I'm sure it was just as good. As for sides, the corn, baked beans and sweet potato casserole (amazing) were all super tasty. The Mac and cheese and potato salad were okay but nothing to really brag about. I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu!

  • Jim P.

Sorry. I don't see the hype in these reviews. I can say it was a decent price for the Pulled Pork platter, it was not better than average. The sides, average as well.

OMG ALL I want to say is wing wings wings wings wings I'm from Chicago and those wings were amazing some of the best I have ever had I have 3 more days here and I want to eat them for breakfast lunch and dinner

Best place for BBQ on the beach. We also had the Shrimp Moe Boy which was excellent. Their menu is mostly bbq but they have catfish and really great side dishes. Side specials for the day of our visit were jambalaya, collard greens, lima beans, smoked pork chili and mud pie - we tried them all and they were delicious! They have excellent ribs and it's all prepared fresh daily. Love the fact that the owners are all Alabama boys, and they've put their blood, sweat and tears into the place. They've totally redone what was once a dive and made it a great place with great southern atmosphere. A must try when in PCB!

This place has delicious food. Our party of five had smoked turkey, pulled pork, ribs, collard greens, baked beans, Mac and cheese, tomato cucumber salad and cornbread. Every single dish was remarkably good. (Yes, I tasted everyone's food. I'm the mom.) Although I'm a yankee from the north, I do love me some good collard greens. These did not disappoint. Cooked tender but not mushy with pieces of pork and a splash of vinegar. The polite young man behind the counter recommended the cucumber and tomato salad. Yum. Cornbread slightly sweet with bits of jalapeño that they GRILLED to a light golden brown. Genius! All the meat was spot on. The smoked turkey had a mix of red BBQ sauce and white Carolina style sauce with slaw. So good. If you're in PCB, skip the touristy joints and go to Moe's.

Now this is a fun spot! You can sit inside and enjoy the A/C or sit on the patio and watch the traffic on front beach! If you want the best BBQ and smoked wings this is your place. If you go on Thursday you can get the thanksgiving day sandwhich. Just imagine thanksgiving with out all your family and great beers!! GET THE WINGS!!

Moe's Original Bar B Que is a great place! Just coming back from Texas and sampling the BBQ there, Moe's did not disappoint. The pulled pork is very moist and juicy and has just the right amount of smoke. The sides are great and the beer is cold! What more could you ask for! If you are anywhere on the beach, make it a point to get to Moe's.

  • Urban J.

This place is terrific all around. Their BBQ is pretty much as good as it gets...great cooked/smoked in flavor. I had the pulled/chopped pork and it was delicious just plain. Great relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. PCB is very lucky to have a BBQ joint of this quality. I hope they do well and stick around for a long time.

Really good bbq and a fun little porch bar! The prices are a bit high for the portions given, but everything did taste great. Especially the sides - hate when the BBQ is on point but the sides aren't. I would recommend.

My sister and I went for the first time last night and we were very impressed! Moe's just opened up within walking distance from our apt and it's a great location right across from the beach. We ordered our to-go orders at the bar because there was a line inside. This gave us a chance to have a beer and enjoy the atmosphere on the deck. The bartender was very friendly and our food came out quickly! The food was awesome! I had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and marinated slaw and my sister had the rib platter with baked beans and mac and cheese. Everything was so good including the BBQ sauce. They have special sides that change from day to day in addition to what's on the menu... I can't wait to try them all. We will definitely be going back!

Hailing from Austin, Texas, I have an overly snobby palate as it pertains to barbecue. A couple examples: never allowing anyone to call a grill-out a barbecue, snuffing my nose at anyone who desires sauce to make their meat taste good, and well... simply telling people that I'm from Austin. But, Moe's has their niche market down to a tee--whether catering to locals who want to throw a big party or bringing in the tourist masses who want to get a taste of what they would think is Southern smoked meat. The chicken surprisingly holds its own, and the steamed sweet potatoes are not soggy, hold onto their characteristic flavor. Other than these options, however, I found the brisket to be on the dry side. Management here, on the bright side, wants to serve you and make sure your needs are taken care of! We got a free DP when we went to pick up our catering order.

Great deals of barbecue/southern food! Definitely a must-go place when you're vacationing in PCB! Fried Southern Catfish 5/5 - fried to perfection. Batter was crunchy and flavorful. Fish retained/absorbed the fattyness Pulled Pork 5/5 - tender and juicy. BBQ sauce has the right balance of sweetness and tang Potato Salad 5/5 - made with crisp apples. Solid side for the pork and catfish Mac n Cheese 4/5 - pretty good. The only unappealing thing was the puddle of butter/oil at the bottom of the cup.

  • Brian W.

Ok food. I had the ribs. Nothing to write home about, but they weren't bad. The sides were actually better (Mac and cheese, coleslaw were good). The atmosphere is alright. Once again, nothing special. We sat outside and watched the evening cruisers roll down Front Beach Road. If you are looking for a quick, but average BBQ spot...this might work for you.

  • Jonny G.

These folks were really accommodating and polite, especially since me and my friends brought a total of 14 children! There was plenty of parking out back too. As for the food, it was really high quality and I enjoyed it thoroughly. They also have kid-sized portions with drinks included. My kids were thrilled also to learn that one of the choices was ribs! Overall this was a great place.

Best BBQ I have ever had !!!! This BBQ is better then your Granny's mashed potato salad! Matter of fact I would trade granny in for this BBQ*. Finger lickennn good I tell ya. You ain't gonna find granny cooking like this period. Highly recommended

Stopped in here while on a little vaca during off season. Def little hole in the wall, not at all pretentious, inside has a lot of recycled wood and bare concrete. The food however....... Had a pulled pork platter, pork was moist and prepped right, not fatty, awesome vinegar based barbecue, and extra sauce is kept in a warmer on the counter. Even better were the sides. Fried green tomatoes were just awesome, served with some pickled red onions. Sweet potato casserole was topped with what looked like cornflakes, sounds weird but tasted great. All served with a toasted jalapeño cornbread (again awesome) and a drink for $10.95. Guys at counter were great, also. Smells great, tastes better. Do stop by!

Good Eats! !! The staff is awesome the only place for BBQ on Panama City Beach. Turkey sandwiches white sauce and BBQ ribs the sides are the best anywhere homestyle goodness...

Real barbecue done right at a good price. Went there yesterday and can say the staff are super cool and the food is really good. Had pulled pork and smoked turkey breast , both were very good .

This was a drive by and you'd miss it. Once the smell hits you... It was I have to find that place. Well after a search I found the smell and it came from Moe's. I think it's a must stop place if you're ever in Panama City Beach. How good is it you ask? Well my wife that is pretty picky ate almost the whole 1/2 of smoked chicken. She hates beans but wanted to trade her slaw for my bean...sorry babe but no dice , those beans are mine! I loved my pulled pork and I added "Moe" to my order with 2 ribs. The sauce is so good we considered putting the bottle in the wife's purse before we left. Makes me wish I lived in PCB so I could enjoy Moe's more often!

  • Brendan R.

Reviews here on Yelp led my wife and I to Moe's on our recent trip to PCB. Our pulled pork sandwiches were absolutely delicious as were our sides (baked beans, mac 'n' cheese). The patio provided an excellent vantage point for people-watching on front beach road. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good BBQ on the beach!

People are very friendly. Turkey sandwich special with cranberry sauce and cornbread dressing was outstanding. Plenty of parking in the rear

Not only was the pork melting in my mouth but the wings that Hunter had recommended were awesome! We visited 1 week ago with my friend buddha. I love my job and I am a food & beverage supervisor and would vouch for hunter anytime. He was relaxed and in tune with customers needs or attention. Plenty of drink selection. Smoker was in the back!! House Made fries would be cool to get and also take away the lays chips. Do not walk away from Moe's!!

Good grief this place is delicious. I was concerned when we turned onto front beach rd because everything there is ridiculously touristy. This place, however, is legit. Chicken BBQ salad on point. Sauces were awesome. The Alabama style pulled pork totally unusual but amazing. The cornbread was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I seriously considered buying a pan for $30. Even the sweet tea was perfectly sweet. Love it. The best thing I've eaten in the PCB/30A area.

We eat at Moe's a few times a month. We can't get enough. We realized that we've never intentionally gone to a restaurant for their smoked chicken, but we do at Moe's. Their sides are delicious and always different. Basically everything that comes out of this place is GREAT. The guys who work there are friendly and we like that it seems that they always have the Bulls games on, haha! (We're from Chicago). I also have to mention that their selection of music is fantastic. Widespread Panic or The Band while I'm chowing down on delicious BBQ and drinking a 2 Hearted Ale is my idea of perfection.

Wow! Best food in Panama City Beach. The Cuban pork sandwich was delicious. Will be back

  • Dana S.

Came here while on vacation with my family. The place didn't seem like it had AC inside because it was so hot, so we had to wait to find a table outside. The food was pretty good. We got the pack of ribs with 2 racks of ribs and sides and corn bread. Im not a fan of cole slaw but they had pretty good mac and cheese and corn bread and the ribs were tender, and they have good bbq sauce. They ran out of a lot of food because it was so busy, but the servers were pretty nice, and they had great sweet tea.

Bar-B-Q is not fancy. The establishment and the food should not be either. This place is neither, but it is clean. This was my first visit. I had the Pulled Pork with Baked Beans and Marinated Slaw. The Pork was soft with a light, but nice, smoke flavor. The Baked Beans were just the way I like them; soft in a thick sauce without the heavy Tomato base flavor. The Marinated Slaw was interesting. It is marinated in Apple Cider Vinager. The flavor was good without the overwhelming taste of Vinager. It could use something such as Black Pepper and just a bit of salt. The service was great. Very friendly and appears to be the normal. Over all this place is worth the visit. I visited during the off-season, so there was no wait. I can imagine this place must get packed during season (Spring and Summer).

Great place for lunch! I ordered the 'Bama Style Pulled Pork basket which came with two sides. There were many of sides to chose from. I ordered the watermelon and Mississippi mud! The meal was so large I could not even finish the entire thing.

  • T W.

We had the pulled pork platter and added two extra sides for my wife and I to share. It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. For sides we ordered baked beans, squash casserole and the sweet potato jo-jo's. Every platter comes with corn bread and it was perfect. We had the banana pudding for desert and it was exactly what I expect banana pudding to be. All in all this little BBQ joint is amazing and a MUST try when in Panama City beach. The price is very reasonable and properly portioned.

We went in for a late lunch or a early dinner. We had the BBQ 1/2 chicken plate and the bama pork sandwich, both were great! Loved the sides, had the slaw, bbq beans, and Mac and cheese. Highly recommend this place!

  • Mary S.

I love BBQ pulled pork so I stopped in. The first night I stopped by they were out of a lot of food so I left. A few days later I went back at lunch time and got my pulled pork. It was good, but what I loved was the cornbread. Good place to go if you stop by earlier before they run out of the good stuff

We visited yesterday after reading the reviews. Immediately, i was impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Following the advice of the reviewers, I tried the pork sandwich "Bama" style. Excellent choice. They even let us try the white sauce first. The jambalaya was superb, and I had the recommended black eyed peas, which were by far the best I have ever had. I will be back! If you're looking for good food in a casual setting, go now!

This was so good I forgot to take a picture. My husband and I split the pulled pork platter and it was amazing. The BBQ sauce is fantastic. And the price is very reasonable too.

We had dinner here tonight. Typically I come to Fla and gorge on seafood but the family and I wanted to try some good Southern BBQ. This place was outstanding. We ordered 2 platters - one was pulled pork with baked beans and potato salad and the other was ribs and baked beans and Mac and cheese. Everything was wonderful. Wife raved about the pulled pork and I enjoyed the ribs. The Mac and cheese was also very good. We are already planning on going back one more time before we head back home. The staff here was very nice as well. Everyone was friendly and considerate. Check it out and say hi to "Big Smooth". 4/17/14 - went to Moe's last night for a second time. As good as the first visit. But they were out of collard greens this time which was a real bummer. Everything else was very good though. Again we ordered the pulled pork and ribs with Mac n cheese and pork n beans as sides.

I found this place on trip advisor so I thought I would publish it on yelp to let everyone know its a great place for BBQ. I had the smoked half chicken which was excellent and cooked to perfection. I was leaving PCB and called ahead for a to go order, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. When I pulled up it looks like a small out side bar/hole in the wall but awesome food.

  • Mark L.

What a difference with a new night and a new place to eat in Panama City Beach makes!! Faith restored in PCB with a great dinner at Moe's Original BBQ!! Service was great and very friendly!! Carley always had a smile and service was spot on!! Food was fabulous from the smoked turkey to the jalapeño cheese grits to the bones that were cooked to perfection and tender meat off the bone! Muuuuch better than Sharky's down the street!!!

  • Tia R.

This place is absolutely awesome. Everyone was so damn friendly and chill. I couldn't decide what I wanted from the menu so he came back with different meats for me to try so I could pick the one I liked the most. I ordered a smoked chicken sandwich. That sandwich was so good and flavorful. Even though my stomach got full half through eating, I couldn't stop. Just mad I found this spot my last day in town.

So delicious and large portions for lunch- I should have gotten the kids plate. The pulled pork, jalepeno grits and cornbread were amazing! Cool place to hang out outside with a beer too.

Absolutely excellent food. I've been all over PCB this past week, and this was by far the best meal I had. Great, friendly customer service. I'm from Milwaukee, so I know food!!

Disappointed for sure. Had cold ribs with a dash of sauce. Can't believe the great reviews here. Husband had the pulled pork and he liked it. Won't be going back.

Our group of 4 decided to get the take out from Moe's. That was a great decision! We called and ordered the double wide with pulled pork, baked beans, Mac n cheese, and corn bread. I walked over and when I got there was so hungry I added an order of Moe wings. The staff there was very attentive and great to chat with. When the meal was opened it was simply great! The three southern belles in our group gave everything two thumbs up. The Yankee says the food is fantastic!!! Would definitely go there again...

We went to Moes for dinner tonight and we were thrilled with our meal. We ordered ribs and chicken wings. The ribs were so meaty we couldn't even finish. Great sides... Very unusual. Service was excellent and friendly. It was a great buy for the money. We were a little concerned about parking, but found there was plenty of parking around back.

I had the shrimp plate and it is great. We were all happy that we ate at Moe's while we were at the beach. Everyone loved the pulled pork. Next time I will have the ribs. I plan to return soon.

Loved it! We've been to Moe's three times in two weeks. The only problem that they run out of things but hey, it's good stuff! We wound up coming back the next day to get what we were craving that night before. Oh, and the sweet tea is great too!

Best BBQ in town by far. I come here at least once a week sometimes more. Great pulled pork, smoked chicken or turkey, awesome wings and ever changing daily sides make this a great place to eat.

I don't usually like ribs, but their ribs were tasty. We went in as a group of six and everyone complimented their cornbread - we were still talking about days after. Oh, and you should order their wings, delicious :)

Get there early! We arrived @ 6:30 on a Tues. evening & they were already out of 1/2 chicken, pulled pork & turkey. While we were eating they ran out of ribs. We ended up having catfish, ribs, wings & nachos. All were good. Our sides of collard greens, cole slaw, banana pudding & coconut cream pie were good also. Skip the mac & cheese. We'll have to return to try the pulled pork.

  • Jeremy P.

Spot on !!!! I ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and an order of pork nachos. It was happy hour and the nachos were only $5. The sandwiches were delicious and were stacked with meat. The nachos were awesome. I'm not sure what the cheese sauce was but it was dang good. Right across the street from the beach too.

Possibly best nachos ever? Hard to say for sure but they are now forever in the discussion.

Decided to eat here after reading the reviews. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and he said if it had more bbq sauce it would have been better than most other bbq places we have eaten. Thats kind of my fault because it was a to go order. My kinds and I got chicken fingers not a great choice. The cornbread was not that great. All in all its an ok place to eat but of you are from the south its not going to be great but good .... happy eating

Ate here the first night in PC. I am not a big fan of barbecue but my friends were so we ate here. It was good. No complaints. Very friendly service, they even gave our group some of their turkey so that we could try their white barbecue sauce. Most of our group said they had never tried white barbecue sauce. If you are looking for some good barbecue you should try this place out. You won't be disappointed:)

Food was great, the greens and cornbread was amazing. I love BBQ ribs and I try them everywhere I go, let me tell you, they were tasty and not a lot of sauce and I'm a sauce person. I will go back and eat there again without a doubt, MUST TRY.....

Sorry. I don't see the hype in these reviews. I can say it was a decent price for the Pulled Pork platter, it was not better than average. The sides, average as well.

Disappointed for sure. Had cold ribs with a dash of sauce. Can't believe the great reviews here. Husband had the pulled pork and he liked it. Won't be going back.

This was so good I forgot to take a picture. My husband and I split the pulled pork platter and it was amazing. The BBQ sauce is fantastic. And the price is very reasonable too.
